John 10:17-18. Jesus says here that the Father loves Him because He lays down His life. Christ has the power to lay down His life and to take it up again.
More than one person throughout history has been raised from the dead, but on each and every one they had someone else involved with their raising. Elijah, Elisha, and Jesus all raised people from the dead. Every time the person was raised through the power of God with someone else praying on the earthly side.
Only Jesus, in His resurrection, was able to raise Himself from the dead. He did it with no earthly intervention, prayer, or thought. He did it on His own initiative. He was God and had power over death to raise Himself from the dead.
